Sustainability report 2024 sets new benchmark for EC automaker

ISUZU Motors South Africa has released its latest sustainability report detailing the company’s journey towards enhancing transparency, accountability, and ethical business practices. The 2024 sustainability report covers the financial year from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.

“Signed off by the board of Isuzu Motors South Africa and incorporated into our strategy, I am excited to say we are committed to our sustainable targets and our aim is to set a new standard for how we approach sustainability reporting,” said Billy Tom, president of Isuzu Motors South Africa.

The report illustrates Isuzu’s efforts towards a more sustainable business, and it documents the commitment to build on the business’ achievements thus far.  The report is a firm obligation to ongoing improvement, a reduced environmental footprint, and a strengthened social and governance framework.

The report has undergone independent third-party assurance, adhering to sustainability reporting in line with international best practice. This assurance engagement was performed in accordance with AccountAbility’s AA1000AS v3 (2020) standard; a holistic way to hold an organisation accountable for its sustainability management, performance, and reporting practices.

Isuzu’s focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles is at the forefront of its operations. Recognising the automotive industry’s profound impact on the environment and society, the company reaffirms its responsibility to foster transparency, ethics, and sustainable practices across its value chain.
