THE Coega Development Corporation announced last Friday that it has formally parted ways with its suspended chief executive officer, Khwezi Tiya, effective 19 December 2024.
Coega said the decision follows a thorough internal review process and the conclusion of a disciplinary process in accordance with CDC’s policies and procedures and aligns with the organisation’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of governance and operational integrity.
“Coega remains focused on its mission to stimulate economic growth and development in the region and believes that the conclusion of the disciplinary process will allow for a renewed focus on the CDC’s strategic objectives and stakeholder engagements.
“Coega values transparency, integrity and accountability and will provide further updates as deemed necessary. We appreciate the understanding and support of all our stakeholders during this time,” the corporation said.
