New board takes over at supply chain body

SUPPLY chain industry body Sapics announced its board of directors at the not-for-profit’s annual general meeting (AGM).

Having taken the reins as Sapics president in February, Thato Moloi (pictured) will continue to lead Sapics in this role and as a director on the board. Dr Bonface Fundafunda was elected to join the board at this year’s AGM, along with Jonathan Mphake, Regina Naicker and Khumo Mosathupa.

Continuing their service from the previous term are Nikita Reddy-Ramsunder, Sandipa Maharaj, Linda Cham and Selepe Phetla, who have demonstrated their commitment to the Sapics supply chain community and its goals over the last year.

At the AGM, outgoing board members Karen Pretorius and Jan Tukker were thanked for their valuable contributions and the time that they have generously given to Sapics over the last three years. Previous Sapics president MJ Schoemaker was also recognised for her unwavering commitment to the association and its goals since 2021.

Sapics says that the valuable contributions of the new and returning board members will drive the growth and success of its supply chain community and ensure that the organisation is well placed to continue its mission to elevate, educate and empower supply chain professionals in South Africa and across the continent.

Sapics operates through membership, events, the annual conference and education courses and work-shops through authorised education providers and others.
The annual Sapics Conference is the leading event in Africa for supply chain professionals and is now in its 47th year. The 2025 Sapics Conference takes place in Cape Town from 8 to 11 June 2025.
