SHARING technical expertise with customers, along with the company’s range of quality products and responsive customer service, make Air Products a leader in the industrial gas market. Welding specialist, Sean Young, provides technical guidance to existing and new customers and advises which type of gas is most suitable for different applications.

The welding fabrication process takes place when two or more parts of material are fused together by using pressure, heat, or both. Creating a weldment (completed weld joint) requires specialised skills, and the process can be compromised if the correct gases are not used.

Welding specialist, Young, is respected in the industry for his knowledge and expertise in terms of welding processes and is available to assist customers and distributors to resolve technical difficulties.

On the company’s YouTube channel, Young shares his extensive knowledge of the different welding processes. In the latest video, he demonstrates the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process, giving an insight into the most important applications and benefits of TIG welding. Being highly skilled, he makes it look easy as he explains how to ensure high levels of quality with this type of welding.

Air Products supplies and distributes a diverse portfolio of atmospheric gases, specialty gases, equipment and services to southern Africa.

The company serves customers across a wide range of industries from food and beverage, mining and petrochemicals, primary metal and steel manufacturers, welding and cutting applications to laboratory applications.
