Deal with auctioneers who carry the digital seal

Home Engineering Associations Deal with auctioneers who carry the digital seal

THE South African Institute of Auctioneers (SAIA) is providing members with a PrivySeal – digital stamp and certificate – to indicate that they adhere to the institute’s code of conduct, reassuring buyers that they are trustworthy.

“Being able to tell who to trust for buyers in the construction industry, especially virtually (digitally), can be a tricky business that’s why SAIA launched the PrivySeal. The digital seal and certificate are used to reflect the entity’s information in real-time. It’s all about promoting people with genuine skills and helping them participate in a trusted global network by making them visible,” says national manager, Sonja Styger.

Leading academic institutions, industry regulators and associates have been making use of PrivySeal to inform the public of the legitimate dealings of members and their licensing authenticity.

The seal is designed to protect members and the public by establishing deals with Bonafede registrants in good standing with the organization.

“The PrivySeal also motivates members to update contact information regularly and remain compliant. The PrivySeal can automatically be revoked if a member does not adhere to the SAIA code of conduct,” says Styger.

The digital accreditation seal only reflects valid information and can be found on a member’s website, email footer, social media, or via a QR code that points directly to an auctioneer’s real-time SAIA PrivySeal.
