A MARKET leader in South African fintech, iKhokha, has launched a new smart card machine that fits into a pocket, called the iK Flyer Lite. This new offering follows the success of the flagship iK Flyer card machine which launched in 2022 and surpassed initial sales expectations.

“iKhokha is bringing to the market a super smart card machine that is affordable, reliable, fits in your pocket, looks professional, settles money the next day, and can be used as soon as you buy it, ” says iKhokha CEO and co-founder, Matt Putman. “This is another step in our mission to help entrepreneurs and SMEs to believe in better business by enabling them to access the latest technology, as well as benefit from a host of additional support and business tools.”

iKhokha says that this device is aimed at small business owners who are looking for affordable mobile card machines to accept card payments anytime, anywhere. The software runs on Android and does not need any Bluetooth pairing with a smartphone. It is a complete standalone product.

This offering also allows merchants to access iKhokha’s all-in-one suite of intuitive business tools, including a cash advance product, easy-to-use dashboard, sales reports and business insights.

There are no monthly subscription or rental fees, payments to merchants are processed as fast as within a day, and the device can be used as soon as it is purchased.

Customers who buy the iK Flyer Lite will also have dual sim connectivity which will ensure constant coverage, especially in outlying areas and during power outages. Merchants are also able to access system upgrades through the iKhokha app, with updated tools available at the push of a button. It can also operate all day once charged.

iKhokha merchants who have been trading for three months or more are also able to take advantage of iKhokha’s cash advance benefit. iK Cash Advance enables access to up to R 1 million in funding to help businesses grow.

iKhokha incentivises merchants with dynamic pricing – the more they trade, the lower their transaction rates. iKhokha is continuing to grow and empower South African small businesses with a revamped website with content to help SMEs start, manage and grow their business, plus management tools and access to the best rated support in South Africa, all at no extra cost.
