AUTOVISION South Africa has been named a finalist in both the African Kaizen Awards 2026 and the Productivity SA Awards 2026 – a significant milestone in the company’s continuous improvement and supplier development journey.
Established in 2023, Autovision South Africa is a B-BBEE Level 2 Eastern Cape-based Tier 1 automotive supplier specialising in spray painting small plastic automotive components. Operating in a demanding manufacturing environment, the company has worked to strengthen its operational capabilities, improve problem-solving, and build a foundation for sustainable growth.
Through the Automotive Industry Development Centre Eastern Cape’s (AIDC-EC) supplier development support, in collaboration with industry partners, Autovision South Africa has participated in two basic Kaizen programmes and a Digital Kaizen programme, supported through the Automotive Industry Transformation Fund (AITF) and the Automotive Supply Chain Competitiveness Initiative (ASCCI).
The company also received technical support from eNtsa through component composition testing, complementing its continuous improvement journey with specialised technical expertise.
These interventions have focused on strengthening Autovision’s approach to continuous improvement, structured problem-solving and operational performance – important capabilities for suppliers seeking to meet automotive industry requirements and remain competitive.
The company’s finalist recognition will be celebrated at two upcoming award ceremonies:
- Productivity SA Awards 2026 — Johannesburg, 23 October 2026
- African Kaizen Awards 2026 — Mauritius, 26 October 2026
According to AIDC-EC, Autovision’s achievement highlights the value of collaboration between development institutions, industry partners and local businesses in building a stronger and more competitive Eastern Cape automotive supply chain.
As the company progresses on its development journey, this recognition places its commitment to continuous improvement before a wider audience and demonstrates the importance of developing local supplier capabilities within South Africa’s automotive value chain.
